6-a-side proves a hit

Another of the highlights of the summer social calendar saw Team Ayaz go home with the 6-a-side crown on Bank Holiday Sunday after beating Team Atif in the final.

Six teams, drawn up from the adults section, junior section, and our friends at Acton CC, started the day with dreams of lifting the crown. After six group games, two semi-finals, and a runners-up final, it was Ayaz and Atif who led their teams through to the final which, for the second-year running, was claimed by Ayaz and his squad.

Our thanks go to all those who organised teams, in particular John Reeve and Acton for coming down and supporting our day, as well as Dave Smith, Richard Allen, and James Dobbin for their help with the BBQ on the day.
