Promotion Achieved for Brentham Second XI

Vishal Patel and his team get the promotion celebrations started after victory over Bessborough in Week 16 confirmed a return to the Second Team Division Two for The Trees.

Any thoughts the final hurdle would be the hardest were quickly put to bed as Patel's side plundered 208-9 in a rain-affected 25 over match. Aadil Khan continued his fine late season form with 61 at the top of the order, ably supported by opening partner Abbas Ilyas (42) and Daniel Taylor (32).

As has been the case so often this campaign, the heart of the opposition reply was ripped out early by the Brentham seamers. Matt Bunker Junior and Tom Barry shared six wickets before the spin duo of Atif Shah and Hemen Mehta wrapped up the innings, Bessborough bundled out for 48 in 15 overs.

The win, an 11th from 15 completed matches during the season, ensured that Brentham joined Ealing Trailfinders in earning promotion to the third tier next season.
