1s beat 2s in thriller as Thirath Goane hits twin tons
The eagerly anticipated 1s vs 2s inter-club game did not disappoint as the 1s squeaked home by 7 runs mainly thanks to Thirath Goane's blistering knock of 110. Not content with one century at home this weekend, Thirate followed that up with 124 on Sunday as Aldenham were beaten by 85 runs. On Saturday, Thirath's knock was the backbone of the innings as the Pravin Jadhav's 1s posted 247/7 from their 45 overs. An early Jack Solomon double strike set the 1s innings back but Thir

Wins all round on the opening weekend
Pravin Jadhav’s reign as Brentham 1s captain got off to a winning start as our first weekend of friendlies ended with three victories from three. On Saturday, there were encouraging wins over Wembley while Sunday saw a thriller away at Streatham and Marlborough. A new-look 1s, with four winter arrivals in the XI, batted first at Vale Farm. The Trees lost Aadil Khan early but Thirath Goane and Zaraq Nazir steadied the ship and took the score to 48 before Zaraq departed. Preet

There will be plenty of fresh faces involved at

Meadvale Road ready as action begins this weekend
This weekend sees the start of the new season and, in preparation, a group of 20 players, juniors, and parents spent a sunny Saturday preparing Meadvale Road for the summer ahead. The weekend's work saw our old covers dismantled and removed, sightscreens damaged by Storm Eunice fixed, benches painted, the pavillion cleaned, and our new Junior storage shed erected. All this means that Meadvale Road is ready for our season opener this Saturday against Wembley. While our 1s make

RIP Paul Glover
Brentham CC are sad to announce the premature passing of former player, and groundsman, Paul Glover at the early age of 55. Paul was an aggressive early order batsman in the late 1990’s, who cared nothing for reputation, as bowlers who fancied themselves found out He was a good close to the wicket fielder and those who played with him knew his real worth. He was, like his father Dave, a groundsman first at GWR and then at Brentham We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife

Angus Fraser delights as Annual Dinner returns
A sorely missed part of our calendar, the Annual Brentham CC Dinner, returned in style on Saturday night following a three-year absence due to Covid-19. Guest of Honour Angus Fraser entertained those present with stories from his battles on England duty against the likes of Shane Warne and Curtly Ambrose. There were also tales of his time with Middlesex and in the Middlesex County Cricket League with Stanmore. The awards for the 2021 season were also presented. Among the sixt
